February News

February 7th, 2007 by info

It is unearthly cold, but we couldn’t be happier.

Friday we play with Grizzly Bear and the Dirty Projectors at Chicago’s own Subterranean. If you have a ticket (the show is sold out), then make sure to get there early - we hit the stage at 10:00 PM. If you don’t have a ticket (or even if you do), then please come down to Permanent Records on Saturday - we will be playing a (mostly) acoustic show at 3 PM. And if you love the shit out of us, then come by our loft on Sunday - Mittens won’t be playing, but will be hosting an acoustic show of our own. Evan from Pillars and Tongues, Elephant Micah, Cell Mates, and To the Left will all be performing starting around 8 PM. Email us if you would like more details (like an address) - mittensonstrings (at) hotmail (dot) com.

Hopefully you have enjoyed Strongmen, Tin Sins - it’s still available on the Media page. The next free EP will be remixes from Look Up the Sky!!, and will be available in April from this site. Girl Talk, White Williams, and Osmowhitely are confirmed thus far.

Check out this cute letter we got from Viacom.
Dear Member:
This is to notify you that we have removed or disabled access to the
following material as a result of a third-party notification by Viacom
International Inc. claiming that this material is infringing: Mittens on Strings - Monogram

We hope that you got to see it. But there’s always this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46EolXnIZR0

Still nothing confirmed for South by Southwest, but it looks like we’ll be there all week. We’ll let you know when we do.

And we’ve been working more on those new songs.
